About Cyril Garcia

As the Director of Marketing and Website Development for myTechieFriend.com, I have had the privilege of working with a wide variety of business people, from the seasoned professional to the first time entrepreneur.  Among the many blessings I’ve enjoyed from helping others in this business, are the close relationships that have developed over the years.  In short, my clients get to know me personally; and, in turn, I really get to know them, who they are, where they’ve been, and where they’d like to go.  It is in that spirit that I would like to offer you a glimpse into who I am, and the source of the passion that lead me to start this business.

Growing up in the Central American nation of Belize (formerly British Honduras), my artistic side first began to surface at the tender age of 7, as I would walk around my neighborhood sketching and painting the various scenes that would capture my attention . . . of which there were many.  For several years thereafter, my main creative outlet was my sketch pad and my imagination.  However, that would soon change.

In high school, my love of art met my fascination with technology.  One of my sisters introduced me to a whole new medium through which I could express my creativity . . . the personal computer.  Owning a computer business at the time, she gave me access to a whole new world.  Graphite pencils and drawing paper gave way to computer graphics and drawing programs.  Those were the heady days when Microsoft Paint was considered amazing!  So I dropped my pens and pencils in favor of a mouse and keyboard, and soon after began my “techie” career as a part-time computer instructor and PC field technician in Belize City.

Although I have always enjoyed technology, graphics, and internet marketing, and have long since been fascinated by the power and potential of the internet, these interests give me the greatest satisfaction when they bring opportunities to serve and minister to the people around me.  Whether it is serving my family as a husband and a father, serving my fellow brothers and sisters as a bible study leader, or serving my clients as their “techie” friend, I derive no greater joy from life than to serve God, and to help those around me be the absolute best they can be.
